Most Bankruptcy Attorneys charge close to the same fees. In Chapter 7 cases the Bankruptcy Attorney is paid before the case is filed. In Chapter 13 cases some Bankruptcy Attorneys want to be paid in full before filing and others, like my office, take a portion of the fee in advance and allow the balance to be paid back through the Chapter 13 plan of reorganization.
Beware of those offering very inexpensive rates. Most offering these low fees are newer Attorneys without years of experience. Make sure your consultation is with the Bankruptcy Attorney and not an office staff member or a paralegal.
